Steel mesh reinforced PE wear resistant pipe is DONGHONG's latest generation plastic & steel composite pipeline. It is produced on the basis of ordinary steel wire mesh structured PE pipe then combined with the experiences of non-coal-mining pipeline application, adding special wear resistant materials in inner wall, works out well in resolving traditional pipe’s shortage in poor wear resistance, the coating layer easily fall off, heavy weight as well as poor corrosion resistance performance. At the same time, the design reduces the total construction cost and construction period.

1Short term hydrostatic test

  Testing conduct under C/T189-2007 requirement, temperature 20 ℃, 2.0 Mpa nominal pressure, keeping 1 hour. Pipe no fracture & no leakage.

2Burst pressure  Testing temperature 20 ℃, rise the pressure to burst in 60-70 seconds, the bursting pressure is ≥3 times of the nominal pressure.
3Pressure cracking stability

  When press to 50% of nominal outside diameter in 10-15 seconds, the pipe performs no crack or damage. 

4Peeling strength

  ≥100N/CM



Product feature:

Polyethylene Raw Material: Adopting high density polyethylene resin under the requirement of GB/T 13663, have great features on resistance to slow crack growth and resistance to shock. 

Strengthen Steel Wire: Adopting coopered steel wire under the requirement of GB/T 14450, achieve the pressure strength ≥2050Mpa. 

Adhesive resin: Using DONGHONG's self-owned patent resin product, performs well on strong adhesion and strong process adaptability.  

Inner Wear Resistant Layer: Using fluoro-silicon modified dynamic crosslinking polyolefin elastomer wear resistant material, the wear resistant ability is 2 times than ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.Meanwhile, the wear resistant layer and polyethylene layer will co-extruded and compounded, so the wear-resistant layer will not peel or delaminate.


Connection Methed

1.Electrofusion Welding: This sophisticated technique involves using specialized equipment to heat the pipe ends and fittings until they melt and fuse together, ensuring a seamless and robust connection.

2. Butt Fusion Welding: Mirroring the process of electrofusion, butt fusion welding heats the pipe ends and presses them together, creating a seamless and durable joint that stands the test of time.
3. Flange Connections: Employing robust flanges attached to the pipe ends, these connections are bolted together with gaskets, forming a secure and reliable seal for various applications.
4. Mechanical Couplings: Utilizing compression fittings or clamps, mechanical couplings offer a quick and efficient method for joining pipe sections, ensuring ease of installation and strong connections.
5. Threaded Connections: Featuring threaded ends, some steel wire reinforced PE composite pipes can be easily screwed together with compatible fittings or adapters, offering versatile and reliable connection options
