In fact, HDPE pipes are different in different pipes and pipe fittings, there are many methods, there are 4 common connection methods: hot melt connection, electric melt connection, socket flexible connection, flange mechanical connection.
Hot melt connection:
The hot melt connection of polyethylene pipe system has hot melt butt (including saddle connection) and hot melt socket connection. Hot melt socket connection is suitable for pipes and fittings with relatively small diameters (generally less than DN63mm in diameter), because pipes and fittings with small diameters have thinner walls and smaller cross sections, and it is not easy to ensure quality by using butt joint. Hot melt butt is suitable for pipe fittings with relatively large diameter, less material than socket connection, easy to manufacture, and cut the oxidized surface layer before welding, welding pressure can be controlled, and quality is easier to ensure. The heat capacity connection of the HDPE pipe is the use of hot melt welding machine to heat the pipe end, and the hot melt connection of the ppr pipe is much the same, but the welding temperature is different, ppr pipe is 260 ° C, pe is 230 ° C, and after melting, the two parts that need to be connected are pressurized and kept cool and fixed.
Electric fusion connection:
The electric fusion connection of HDPE tube is to set the electric fusion tube on the pipeline first, and then energize the electric fusion tube according to the specified parameters (time, voltage, etc.). Weld with a welding machine to melt the inner surface and outer surface of the tube end of the electric fusion fittings embedded with electric heating wires, and fuse the tube and tube fittings together after cooling. It is characterized by convenient connection, good joint quality and little interference from external factors.
Flange mechanical connection:
When pe pipes need to be connected with metal pipes, valves and other water facilities, flange connection is required. The flange connection is mainly composed of polyethylene flange connectors, steel or aluminum back pressure lofting flanges, steel or aluminum flanges, gaskets or sealing rings, bolts, nuts, etc. Flange should be selected according to the size of the connecting pipe, and the pipe and connector should be fixed tightly through the flange, so that the flange connection connector is in close contact with the flange plate to achieve the purpose of connection.
Socket flexible connection: Polyethylene pipe spigot flexible connection is a new type of connection method developed by referring to the spigot flexible connection principle of cast iron pipe and polyvinyl chloride pipe (PVC-U). Spigot flexible connection is to insert one end of polyethylene pipe directly into the special spigot of pipe or pipe fitting, press the anti-drawing and rubber seal tightly through the locking ring in the spigot.
