Double-Wall Corrugated Pipe Connection Methods:

First, rubber ring socket connection

Socket connection is the most common connection method for double-wall corrugated pipe. One end of double-wall corrugated pipe is made into a socket, and the other end is a connection method. There are two ways to form a socket on a double-wall corrugated pipe:

1. The expansion forming method, first forms the double-walled corrugated pipe, then heats one end locally after unloading to form a socket. The advantage of this method is that the socket part is structural wall, with good rigidity and reliable connection.

2. The socket is formed in-line, usually using a pair of special forming mold blocks on a corrugated pipe forming machine to press the inner and outer layers of the pipe directly into a socket on the double-walled corrugated pipe. As long as the wall thickness and length of the socket meet the standard requirements, the reliability of the connection is guaranteed, and the pipeline produced is formed in one piece, with better quality assurance.

In actual operation, turn the rubber ring into the first or second groove of the pipe socket. Before inserting it, rub lubricant on the inner wall of the socket and the rubber ring of the socket to ensure that at least 4 grooves are connected with the socket. If the outer diameter exceeds 400, the pipe section can be pulled into place by two hand hogs. When closing the interface, the hand hogs on both sides of the pipe section need to be pulled together to make its sealing ring position appropriate to ensure that it will not be twisted and fall off.

In order to prevent leakage in the double-wall bellows drainage system, it is necessary to place the socket of the double-wall bellows upstream of the drainage system, and the socket is placed downstream of the drainage system, so as to ensure that the connecting part of the pipeline will not leak.

Second, the heat shrinkable sleeve (with) connection

This connection method involves overlapping fiber-reinforced heat-shrinkable sleeves at the connection point, where polyethylene is cross-linked to form intermolecular cross-linking bonds, forming a three-dimensional network structure. This structure significantly improves properties such as resistance to stress cracking, wear resistance, resistance to deformation, resistance to chemicals, and low-temperature resistance, making it have excellent insulation, corrosion resistance, sealing, and waterproofing properties. When constructing this method, it is important to pay attention to waterproofing, and a space for heating operation should be reserved in the trench at the joint. The heat-shrinkable sleeve connection is suitable for applications with high requirements for waterproofing and corrosion resistance.
