On December 2nd, 2023, the Belt and Road Africa Economic Promotion Association (Nigeria) 2023-2024 China-Africa Trade Exchange Conference was held at the Binzhou Bohai Advanced Technology Research Institute. Government leaders at all levels in Binzhou City and some domestic industry leading companies attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Donghong vice president Fan Peng signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shandong Nizhong International Trade Co., Ltd. Ogu, Consul General of Nigeria in Shanghai, and PRISE, Chairman of the Belt and Road African Economic Promotion Association (Nigeria) Chamber of Commerce in China, jointly witnessed the signing.

“Nigeria is the most populous country in West Africa and the largest economy in Africa. It is a powerful country in West Africa, rich in resources, and has a large population, and its domestic water resources are relatively abundant. “Said PRISE, “Nigeria's domestic infrastructure is currently relatively backward. In the future, we will focus on strengthening the development and construction of municipal facilities, water conservancy and mining resources”. He expressed that there is huge space for cooperation with Donghong Pipe Industry to achieve an internationally leading engineering pipeline manufacturer, pipeline engineering service provider and pipeline engineering general contractor.

Ogu introduced in his speech that in order to facilitate the economic cooperation between the two countries and Chinese enterprises, Nigeria signed a currency swap agreement of 16 billion yuan with China, and welcomes Chinese enterprises to strengthen cooperation with the Nigerian national government.

The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement will promote a win-win situation between both parties in terms of product manufacturing, research and development, supporting facilities and services.
